Jon L. Gelman is in private practice in Wayne, New Jersey, where a substantial portion of his practice is devoted to Workers’ Compensation law.

Mr. Gelman is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Nebraska, and the District of Columbia, and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. A Trustee of the National Workplace Injury Studies Institute, Mr. Gelman is a member of the Passaic County, District of Columbia and Nebraska State Bar Associations. He is a member of the New Jersey Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice and is Past Vice-President of the Workplace Injury Law and Advocacy Group.

The author of Workers’ Compensation Law 3rd Ed., (West Thomson 2008), Mr. Gelman is a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers and a member of the American Society of Legal Writers. He is a contributing author to the national treatise Modern Workers’ Compensation (West-Thomas 2008) and a contributing columnist to the New Jersey Law Journal. He is widely published and is a frequent lecturer for professional organizations.

Mr. Gelman received his B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D. from John Marshall Law School.
